Fact 1. Adware is a general category of software that includes advertisements to help pay for the product on which they appear. Many freeware and shareware programs are sold as adware.
Fact 2. Spyware works much like adware exept that the user has no control over or knowledge of the ads and the other monitoring features the ads contain.
Fact 3. The programs you install, especially freeware and shareware programs, might include spyware to track your use of programs and of the internet, or they might collect data about you and distribute that data to a third party.

1. A Session Key is a temporary device used in the encryption process to ensure a secure connection. Session key only exist during a single connection between a browser and server.
2. The CERT Coordination Center is a federally funded research center operated by the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
3. A server certificate (sometimes called an SSL Web server certificate) authenticates a Web site so site visitors can be confident that the Web site is genuine and not an impostor.
